Program Description
In this session, participants will get to interact with people on refugee
status living in Hong Kong. Through personal chats and group
discussions we create a space where issues surrounding refugees in
Hong Kong can be discussed on a human level. Participants will also
have the chance to experience a different shopping experience and
engage their imagination through a narrative exercise.
In this activity participants are given a typical budget for daily use of a refugee and asked to buy necessities. They will need to discuss in their teams what goods are necessary and what are not so as to use their budget to the best capacity. This exercise gives a better understanding of the lived experiences of refugees in Hong Kong.
