Program Description:
This program is designed to help students develop their cultural sensitivity in a multicultural environment while learning and applying art skills and techniques. Throughout these cultural workshops and discussions, students will be challenged to reflect on how they view themselves and others in a world that is globalized but also comes with cultural differences and inequalities. Moreover, not only is this an opportunity to better understand and appreciate some of the beautiful and diverse cultures of Africa, it also enhances students’ creativity, communication skills, and updated knowledge of the global arts industry. This program will create freedom for students to build their confidence in English presentation and conversation while heightening cultural awareness. This will allow students to gain important insights that positively shape their understanding of African culture.
