Program Description
This session includes a presentation, discussion and film
screening (optional). The general aim of this program is
to find ways to reduce violent conflict and promote justice
by means of negotiation and non-violent action. African
countries, as a legacy of colonization and imperialism,
have faced genocide, war, inter-state conflict, political
violence and terrorism. The workshop will help students
critically analyze and understand how and why some
conflicts end up in destructive forms of social and
political violence.
