This workshop will highlight the rich history and diversity that is embedded in Afro hair and shows that styling hair is an art. Like any form of art, the adorning of afro hair and the shaping of hairstyles requires an immense amount of skill accompanied with the right technologies. We will learn the basics of this art form and some history of Afro hair hairstyles.
This workshop can also be carried out in the virtual format in which participants will receive packages with some materials to assist in the hair adorning beforehand. In the workshop you will learn how to carry our basic techniques like plaiting, braiding with extensions and threading.
This is a great activity to do with both schools and corporates. Contact us for more information on the workshop!

I value the “African Literature Book Club” as I value Women’s Day and Black History Month because African literature deserves a spotlight.
