Kiswahili (Swahili) belongs to the Bantu family of languages spoken throughout East, Central and Southern Africa; including Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, some parts of DRC, Malawi, Somalia, Zambia, Mozambique.
20% of the Swahili vocabulary is derived from loan words, the vast majority Arabic, but also other contributing languages, including Persian, Hindustani, Portuguese, and Malay.
Today, Kiswahili is spoken by 50-100 million people and is more in demand as the world becomes more globalized. It opens doors to many opportunities both locally and internationally.
