Eating Ethiopian and Eritrean food has always been more than just a meal; it’s a social event 🗣️. Shared from one big platter, it brings everyone at the table together, creating a deep sense of community⭐️. From the rich stews and fragrant spices to the joy of eating injera with your hands, it’s a tradition filled with flavor, culture, and connection 🥘.
This September, we’re bringing that same warmth to Hong Kong in a very special way 🧡. Africa Center Hong Kong is collaborating with Christine Wong, a vegetarian cookbook author, plant-based chef, and passionate advocate for mindful eating, to create a one-of-a-kind dining experience.
Imagine the bold, earthy flavors of Ethiopian vegetarian dishes meeting the vibrant, creative twists of Hong Kong’s plant-based cuisine. 🌱 Two cultures, two traditions, coming together on one table where food is not just eaten, but shared, felt, and celebrated.
In a world where people crave meaningful connections, this night will be more than dinner. It will be laughter, stories, and community, an evening where you leave with a full stomach and a fuller heart. 💛

It is a fun and family-friendly space to find heartwarming African food and direct connection to the local African community. The center is for everyone, where they can freely express themselves and their ideas.

The Africa Center is a turning point for the African communities within Hong Kong, and for those who wish to learn and integrate with the community not just within the city, but through out the African diaspora.

I value the “African Literature Book Club” as I value Women’s Day and Black History Month because African literature deserves a spotlight.
